How to Start (& Finish!) A Project 365 for 2024

Back in 2015, I completed my first ever Project 365! Taking a photo every single day for a year not only improved my photography skills, because it gave me the opportunity to practice every single day, and try out new things, but also gave me a wonderful record of my day to day life. Taking a photo a day is almost like your own personal journal, so it’s also a fantastic personal project as well as a photographic one.

Over the years I have completed more Project 365’s - but also failed at many more too!

So in this week’s podcast, I want to share with you some helpful tips for starting - and most importantly completing - a Project 365.

If you’re thinking about starting a Project 365, or are just a little bit curious about what it’s all about, this episode is perfect for you!

Tune in as we chat about:

  • Why doing a Project 365 can help you grow your photography skills.

  • Some of the decisions you should make NOW if you decide to commit to a Project 365 in 2024.

  • The different ways you can share or print your photos as you go along (or at the end of the year!)

  • Whether to go freestyle with your Project 365, or use prompts or themes to help keep you on track.

  • Why perfection should not be the goal of a Project 365!

  • What NOT to do when you miss a day (which you will)

  • How to prepare for the days when you just don’t have a clue what to take a photograph of!
