4 Resources To Help You Learn Manual Mode!
If you've been here a while you'll know that I consider learning manual mode a must in photography (even if you don't go on to use it all the time!) so I wanted to create a little “round-up” post for you with some of our top resources for shooting in Manual Mode - that way, you have zero excuses for not making the switch 😉
I know that it can seem daunting to take control of the camera yourself, but I pinky promise it’s worth the learning curve - and it’s not just me, so many of our Auto to Awesome have said the same thing!
So if you’re interested in learning more about shooting in manual mode, and taking your first steps, dive into these resources below…
1 - Why Shoot in Manual Mode?
If you just don't see the point in using manual mode, get started by watching this video to understand why switching to manual mode will allow you to confidently create any image you want, on demand.
It’s SO important to not just understand HOW to shoot in manual mode, but also WHY you need to do it!
That way if you feel like going back to the safety of Aperture Priority Mode, you’ll remember not to :)

Once you’ve got your head around why switching to manual mode is a GREAT idea, and you're ready to give it a try, this next blog post will take your through the basics of manual mode to get you started, all broken down in steps.
Just a warning, this WILL feel clunky at first, but you want to push past that, so that you can grow as a photographer! Nothing good is ever easy :)

I totally that it can seem a bit overwhelming, especially at first! You are so used to the camera making all of the decisions for you, so it can be difficult to even know where to start!
